Ruby Rose has blown onto the scene in a big way in the last few years, thanks to a breakout role on Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. Offscreen, Rose has made a name for herself as a modern fashion icon, model and sex symbol, whose outspoken progressive views and androgynous beauty have also made her a pop-culture star.

Already in 2017, Rose has had supporting roles in three major action movie franchise sequels – xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and as of this week, John Wick: Chapter 2, in which she plays the villain’s mute henchmen, Ares.
Not only has Rose landed these roles – she’s been a memorable standout in each of them. With the light of stardom clearly shining on her, here are 5 Movie Franchises Ruby Rose Should Star In.
Magic Mike
Jada Pinkett Smith was a great addition to Magic Mike XXL, playing a male strip club owner with a taste for theatrics. Ruby Rose is another actress with a badass swagger – not mention a sex appeal that extends across both sides of the gender line.
We can’t think of a better ringmaster for a high fantasy club Mike and the boys must visit next – maybe an ’80s themed spot that perfectly fits Ruby’s throwback androgynous vibe.
Underworld
As much as fans love watching Kate Beckinsale kick ass as Selene in the Underworld franchise, the torch will have to be passed eventually – and sooner might actually be preferable to later.
The franchise now has a storyline involving Selene’s estranged daughter coming of age – a perfect chance for a reboot in which a new actress steps into the role of Eve, Selene’s werewolf/vampire hybrid daughter. Guess who would be a perfect pick for the chalky skin and blue eyed look of the Underworld posters?
Yup. Ruby Rose.
Mission: Impossible
Tom Cruise’s biggest franchise is always looking for breakout stars to play IMF agents or the various shadowy figures of the espionage world that they battle – and after seeing Ruby Rose be a standout player in two such roles (John Wick 2 and xXx 3), it’s clear she’d be a great addition to the M:I franchise.
Fast & Furious
This one is easy: Ruby Rose just got done making a film in a Vin Diesel franchise; however, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage‘s lukewarm box office returns are not a good sign for future installments.
Rose was a major standout of Return of Xander Cage, so it would be smart of Vin to import out of that JV franchise and into his big league game: Fast & Furious.
It doesn’t take an eagle eye to see that Ruby Rose would be a perfect fit with the F&F gang, and a fight scene between her and Michelle Rodriguez is something fans would love.
Gotham City Sirens
This is a no-brainer: DC and Warner Bros. are currently looking for some popular young actresses to star in the DC Comics film Gotham City Sirens, which teams female Batman villains like Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Poison Ivy together for some anti-hero adventures.
Rose’s fellow Australian Margot Robbie is already leading the franchise, and there are any number of DC Comics roles (hero, villain, in between) that Rose could play. With so many genre films under her belt, a superhero film seems inevitable – and one about the badass girls of the DC Extended Universe seems like a perfect fit.
