Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for their anticipated (and horrifying) film Rings, which takes place 13 years after the events of the original Ring and it’s sequel. Samara is again center stage, and a whole new group of characters will learn what happens when curiosity gets the best of you. Oh, and good luck looking at your flat screen TV the same way ever again.

You can view the new trailer above and you can find the official synopsis for the film below.

“A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen beforeโ€ฆ”

Rings is directed by Javier Gutierrez and stars Laura Wiggins (Faith), Aimee Teegarden (Sky), Vincent D’Onofrio (Burke), Johnny Galecki (Gabriel), Lizzie Brochere, Alex Roe (Holt), Zack Roerig (Carter), Bonnie Morgan (Samara), Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz (Julia), Jill Jane Clements (Mrs. Styx), and Surely Alvelo (Shanda).

Rings hits theaters on February 3, 2017.
