Looks like Ryan Reeves is going full Warrior as he’s officially and legally changed his first name to Ryback.

On his podcast, Conversations With The Big Guy, Ryback revealed that he has filed the paperwork for his legal name to be Ryback Alan Reeves. He said that he feels that name is his brand and something that he felt like he had to do. Ryback mentioned that he’ll still go by his birth name, but for legality purposes and future marketing endeavors, changing his name was a priority.
Ryback wouldn’t be the first wrestler to do this. Far from it, actually.
Steve Austin, Ravishing Rick Rude, Andrew Test Martin, and the Ultimate Warrior are past examples of wrestlers changing their names for one reason or the other, but primarily so they can keep calling themselves their established name across different promotions and help build their brand.
