The world of Sons Of Anarchy is getting a little bigger this year, as production is set to begin on the first spin-0ff series, Mayans MC.
The new show will focus on the Mayans Motorcycle Club, who interacted with the Sons quite a bit throughout the original show. Sometimes, they were fierce rivals. Other times, they were helpful allies. Either way, the Mayans were a huge part of the Sons’ story, and now they’re getting a story of their own.

The all-Latino MC has charters all over the West coast, and the series will focus on the club in Santo Padre – on the Cali/Mexico border.
With the pilot set to film in March, the casting process is well underway. The show has added some serious heavy-hitter, including Emmy-Nominee Richard Cabral and veteran TV icon Edward James Olmos.
The cast will attempt to portray a tight-knit brotherhood on-screen, and these guys are already on their way to becoming that.

On Monday, a few of the cast members met with the folks at Harley to get some work in on their bikes. JD Pardo – who plays series lead EZ Reyes – and Emilio Rivera posted this photo of the crew at Harley-Davidson of Glendale.
The guys were getting in some serious bike lessons at the dealership, and they spent a ton of time bonding in the process. There needs to be a brotherhood on screen, and this cast seems to be well on their way to becoming one.

Along with Rivera and Pardo, three other cast members were present for the first ride. Antonio Jaramillo, Clayton Cardenas, and John Ortiz were all in attendance.
The Mayans MC pilot is set to film this March in Los Angeles. Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter is directing the episode, with a script written by showrunner Elgin James. If picked up to series, the show will likely air on FX this fall. The cast for the series includes JD Pardo, Antonio Jaramillo, Clayton Cardenas, John Ortiz, Richard Cabral, and Edward James Olmos.
