Spoilers incoming for Power Rangers, so if you haven’t seen it yet you’ve been warned.
The Rangers were thrown a curveball in the form of Scorpina during the first season, and JLSProblemDog spotted a reference to the character during the training scenes in the Pit. As you can see in the image below, the camera catches a Scorpion crawling across a rock before zooming in on Alpha and the new Rangers.
Scorpina played a big part in the show during the latter half of the first season of Mighty Morphin. She was pitched as a sadistic and lethal old friend of Rita Repulsa, and often teamed with Goldar to take on the Rangers.
In addition to her combat expertise, she also had a second form when Rita made her grow, which would turn her into a giant scorpion, allowing her to take on the Megazord by herself.
While the sequel is still up in the air, Scorpina would be a great addition to the film, giving the Rangers a credible threat to match up against both on the ground and in the Zords.
You can find the official description for Power Rangers below.
