Forever Red
Episode: Forever Red
Wild Force: Season 10 Episode 34
Okay, so this is right on the outskirts of cheating, but it still counts because Jason was the actual Red Ranger here, as he was in the original series. It's the same reason that this list does not include Jason's stint as the Gold Ranger, so with the rationalization out of the way here's what happened.
The remains of the Machine Empire discover the resting place of Lord Zedd's mighty Zord Serpentera and seek to recover it, but the Red Space Ranger Andros finds out about the plan. He's able to enlist the help of Tommy Oliver, who became the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo.
Tommy reaches out to the original Red Ranger, Jason Scott, to join a collection of 9 other Red Rangers to take out the Machine Empire once and for all. Jason is initially hesitant, but shows up on a motorcycle saying "You didn't think I was going to let you do this without the original Red Ranger, did you?"
It turns out Jason hasn't lost a step, and in fact essentially single handily takes out General Venjix, showing the newest Red Ranger Cole the ropes. He even dubs him a "rookie", but eventually, Cole gets the Jason seal of approval.
New Red Rangers may come along, but Jason will always be one of the best.

Episode: Birds of a Feather
Season 1 Episode 36.
There was a small stint where the Red Ranger had Tommy's Dragon Dagger, allowing him to call upon the Dragonzord when the need arose. This also let him call upon the Dragon Shield, and he needed every bit of the extra power to take out the Cardiotron.
Well actually, it was the Hatchasaurus they were fighting, but powering it was the Cardiotron. The Rangers defeated the Hatchasaurus numerous times, but after each defeat, it would reassemble, and the battle took a toll on the Megazord.
Add in that Rita had put the Dragonzord under a spell, and things looked rather bleak.
The Red Ranger would then jump into the Hatchasaurus's mouth, calling upon the full power of the Dragon Dagger and the Dragon Shield to take out the Cariotron. His ploy would release the Dragonzord from the spell, and in a one on one battle Jason would ultimately destroy the Cardiotron with the Dragon Dagger and the Power Sword.

Episode: A Pressing Engagement
Season 1 Episode 4
Early on in the show's run, Jason put to the test as both a leader and a Ranger when Rita sent down the creature King Sphinx to battle the Rangers.
Sphinx has powerful wings that can blow someone away with one swing, and that's exactly what happens to Kimberly and Zack, who descend on Sphinx with Jason after he lands on Earth. With his fellow Rangers gone, Jason has to fight King Sphinx one on one and actually manages to fight him to a standstill.
Not happy with the results, Rita then sends Goldar down to help Sphinx and teleports the three to a desert landscape that no one else can access. Jason is now fighting both of Rita's minions, but again, he manages to keep them at bay for some time.
Eventually, Rita makes them grow, but Zordon is able to get Jason the other power crystals so he can summon the other Rangers. Still, it goes to show just how determined the Red Ranger can be, and why he's the leader of the team.

Episode: Green With Evil Part 5
Season 1 Episodes 17 - 21
Green With Evil is one of the most celebrated arcs in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and with good reason. Tommy Oliver, aka the Green Ranger, goes from one of the best villains the Rangers have ever had to one of their most popular allies, and it all started here.
Tommy was able to cripple the Rangers by infiltrating their command center destroying the control panels, thereby cutting off the Rangers from Zordon. If that weren't enough, he uploads a virus to Alpha 5, causing him to go haywire. The damage disables the teleporters and communicators as well.
Later Tommy faces the Rangers and proves too much for them, including Jason. After losing their Zords to Rita's newest recruit (along with a giant Goldar), the Rangers finally turn the tide, dealing heavy blows to the Dragonzord and Goldar.
After awhile it comes down to the Green and Red Ranger, and early on Tommy is able to deal loads of damage thanks to his Dragon shield and the sword of darkness. Tommy has the upper hand until Jason is able to power up his sword, throwing it at Tommy and knocking the Sword of Darkness out of his hand.
Before he can recover Jason destroys the Sword of Darkness with his Blade Blaster, thereby breaking Rita's hold over him.
Tommy would then join the Rangers from that point on, but it was Jason that made that a possibility.
