The fall finale of Star Trek: Discovery is nearly upon us, and now fans have some new looks at what the episode has in store.
CBS has released new photos from the ninth episode of Star Trek: Discovery, and the conclusion of the first season's first chapter, titled "Into the Forest I Go." The episode sees the Klingons arriving in orbit around the planet Pahvo and Captain Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs) going against the will of Starfleet in an attempt to use the USS Discovery's extraordinary capabilities to end the Federation-Klingon war for good.
Following "Into the Forest I Go," Star Trek: Discovery will take an approximately two-month hiatus from CBS All Access. The series will return in January 2018 with its second chapter, consisting of the final six episodes of the show's first season, beginning with episode 10, titled "Despite Yourself."

Star Trek: Discovery has already been picked up for a second season by CBS All Access.
There are still plenty of mysteries surrounding Star Trek: Discovery that may be answered in the fall finale, or left to linger over the winter break. Is Captain Lorca from the mirror universe? Is Lt. Ash Tyler actually the Klingon Voq in disguise? Is Admiral Katrina Cornwell destined to become the character Lethe from the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Dagger of the Mind"? Is Cornwell even alive?
New Star Trek: Discovery episodes become available to stream Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS All Access.
