Star Trek is about to return to television for the first time in over a decade, and fans surely won't want to miss it.

Star Trek: Discovery's 15-episode first season kicks off with a special two-part premiere. In the United States, the first hour of the premiere will broadcast on CBS on Sunday, September 24th at 8:30 p.m. ET following NFL Football and 60 Minutes.

The first episode of the premiere, "The Vulcan Hello," will be simultaneously available on the CBS All Access streaming service, which will be the show's new home for the remainder of the season.

"The Vulcan Hello" synopsis reads, "While patrolling Federation space, the U.S.S. Shenzhou encounters an object of unknown origin, putting First Officer Michael Burnham to her greatest test yet."

The second episode of Star Trek: Discovery, "Battle at the Binary Star, will be available exclusively on CBS All Access at 9:30 p.m. ET the same night.

Future episodes of Star Trek: Discovery will be released Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS All Access.

A subscription to CBS All Access costs $5.99 per month or, for an ad-free experience, subscribers can pay $9.99 per month instead. CBS is also offering a free trial period for new CBS All Access subscribers.

CBS All Access can be accessed in a web browser and has apps available for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Android, Google Chromecast, Fire TV, PlayStation 4, Roku, Windows 10, and Xbox. The CBS All Access app is also available on select smart TVs.

CBS All Access has more to offer than just Star Trek: Discovery. The service boasts over 9,000 episodes of television, including current CBS programming, older episodes, and original series.

Perhaps of most interest to Star Trek fans is that CBS All Access offers every episode of Star Trek television ever produced as part of its streaming library, as well as most of the Star Trek film series.
