The Star Wars YouTube channel has given fans their first look at a new droid who is sure to become a fan favorite character much like R2-D2, BB-8, and K-2SO.
The Star Wars Blips videos are a series of humorous, animated adventures featuring BB-8. The latest clip reveals what happens when Poe’s favorite droid comes sensor to sensor with its’ First Order counterpart, BB-9E.

Check out the clip above.โจโจGiven what we knew about BB-9E, it’s not super surprising to learn it’s a bit of a jerk. Those who run with the First Order tend to be like that. So don’t expect to see BBs 8 and 9E go out for a glass of blue milk anytime in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Hopefully this is a start of a budding rivalry that only ends when one claims the mechanical life of the other in a duel of plasma torches.
Another Star Wars Blips showcases R2-D2 as something of a rockstar and a war hero.
Playing through all of the astromech’s most heroic moments, BB-8 and other Resistance droids geek out while watching R2 oil up some Battle Droids as seen in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, smoke out some Stormtroopers in Empire Strikes Back, and help destroy the Death Star from A New Hope.
When the hologram finishes playing, the droids are stunned to see R2-D2 casually stroll by, causing a few conniptions in the process. Apparently one of them had a bad motivator as well.
The Star Wars Blips are fun videos, and we hope Lucasfilm releases more of them as the build up to the latest episode in the Skywalker Saga continues.
We’ll get to see the continued canon adventures of BB-8 and R2-D2 (and C-3PO but who cares about him) when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters on December 15.
