Star Wars’ 40th Anniversary is imminent, and though the big milestone is just days away fans be able to commemorate forever with some new commemorative collectibles.

It’s hard to separate “Star Wars fans” from “collectors,” as there is a huge overlap. A part of the reason the franchise is so big is because of the huge contributions to fandom made by the people who scrape up every piece of merchandise they can find.
Celebrating the original Star Wars movie’s release in theaters 40 years ago, Disney Stores across the country will be selling some awesome new merchandise beginning this Thursday.
Here are the special 40th Anniversary Star Wars items (revealed by USA Today) that will be featured as part of Disney’s celebration of the massive event:
- Han Solo and Luke Skywalker Elite Series Die-Cast Action Figures, $49.95
- Lithograph Set (3,300), $39.95
- Limited-Edition Ornament Set (2,700 sets), $59.95
- Limited-Edition Pin Set (1,250), $79.95
- Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Limited-Edition Figurine (1,250 sets), $249.95
- Tsum Tsum Plush Set, $19.95

The participating stores will also be holding a few events throughout the day, including Chewbacca and BB-8 teaching guests to write in the official Star Wars language, fly the Millennium Falcon, and battle Stormtroopers; Star Wars Trivia; drawing lessons; and an interactive story time featuring The Force Awakens and A New Hope.
It all takes place this Thursday, 40 years to the day after the original Star Wars premiered in theaters, so make sure you don’t miss out.
The next film in the franchise, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, premieres in theaters December 15.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017, release.
