As Star Wars mania once again ramps up with the approach of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we're getting more information about next year's big release, Star Wars: Episode VIII.

As with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, plot and character details have been kept strictly confidential. However, the good people over at Making Star Wars have something new to share with fans, and it concerns some of the big name actors in the cast, and who they might be playing.

Making Star Wars reports the following about the characters played by Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran in the film:

  • Del Toro is reportedly playing a "man in black" who is described as "dangerous" - possibly connected to a casino setting that appears in the film. It was rumored earlier that he would be a villain, but it might be grayer than that.
  • Dern is reportedly playing an "aristocratic and fancy" character who has "ornate" pink hair and looks like a something out of The Hunger Games. There's a photo you can check out HERE.
  • Tran's role is teased as being a plain jumpsuit - though her role is supposedly tied-in with Finn and is allegedly a "really cool" situation. More info on that is promised soon.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, directed by Rian Johnson, continues the story of the "Skywalker Saga," and the ongoing tale of Rey, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, Finn, as well as the legacy characters from the original trilogy.
