All films go through numerous degrees of script changes, theme tweaks, and character redesigns before they ever hit the big screen, and Disney and Lucasfilm’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is no different.

Many of these changing aspects of the film are covered in detail in the new collection The Art of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is available in stores today. It’s full of various concept images that were tweaked during development, including some for popular characters like Jyn Erso and K-2SO (via EW).
One image, in particular, shows the original group of rebels that was pitched. There was still a droid type, though eh looked closer to C-3PO than what K-2SO turned out to be. It also featured a bulkier alien named Senna, described as a “Chewie type,” and another smaller alien named Lunka, described as “something that could skitter into an air duct, almost like a little thief.”
There are also new looks at Jyn’s ship and various designs for imperial soldiers as well as closer looks at what K-2SO could have looked like. You can find the full images in the gallery. The Art of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in stores now.
