For its tenth overall episode, Fear the Walking Dead went with a LOST-style of story telling. Audiences learned about the mysterious Victor Strand, where he got the Abigail, where he’s going and why he’s going there all through flashbacks.

During the episode, Fear star Mercedes Mason took to Twitter and promised more flashback episodes as the show goes on. One of those episodes will be a Daniel centric episode and will reveal why he is so brutal and at times deceptive.

“It’s actually my favorite episode that we’ve shot so far,” Mason tells ComicBook.com. “You really get to delve into what happened to Daniel back during the civil war in El Salvador and his relationship with my mother, Griselda, and of course, Ophelia understanding all of that. It’s really gonna color the relationship between Ophelia and Daniel. It’s such a beautiful episode and I’m totally in awe of it. I can’t wait.”

As for when it will arrive,”I think it’s number seven,” of season two Mason says. “That’s the midseason break.”

Don’t get excited just yet. With the big Salazar reveals will come another Walking Dead cliffhanger according to Mason.

“I don’t know if it’s even a cliffhanger or it’s more of just a jaw drop,” the actress explains. “Like, ‘Did that seriously just happen?’ When we read it, we all called each other, e-mailed each other, however we get a hold of each other and were like, ‘Oh, my God! Did you read it? Did you read it?’ because we couldn’t wrap our heads around it. I can’t wait!”

“I’m dying to tell you everything but I’m pretty sure Negan will show up at my house,” Mason concludes.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
