The episode, titled Pillar of Salt, hauled in a total audience of 3.62 million viewers, earning a 1.55 rating in the key demo of adults age 18-49. It’s a slight increase from the 1.49 rating and 3.40 million garnered by last week’s Pablo & Jessica episode.
Fear the Walking Dead was renewed for a third season prior to the premiere of its second season early this year. There are four episodes remaining in 2016 before The Walking Dead returns on October with a one week gap between Walking Dead universe TV shows.
Pillar of Salt was one of the more acclaimed episodes by fans. It packed a few shocking moments into its hour, including a fan favorite character being unexpectedly jabbed in his core with a knife and the first signs of the group of survivors reuniting following their split in the midseason two finale started to surface.
