The Walking Dead has finally returned, and it did so with an incredible bang on Sunday night. Fans finally saw the group working together again, and included the long-awaited meeting between Ezekiel and Rick.

The premiere went a long way in satisfying long-time fans of the show, but it also left many with plenty of confusion.

Seriously, there were so many questions after last night’s episode.

Take a look through the slideshow at the five biggest questions, and start hoping the show answers them sooner, rather than later.

Who’s With Father Gabriel?

At the very beginning of the episode, Father Gabriel took audiences for a ride. In a strange turn of events, the character was seemingly led away from Alexandria and took all of the supplies with him.

As he was driving away, another person is seen sitting up in the passenger seat.

Who could it have been?

It’s almost definitely the spy who was watching Alexandria in the midseasonย finale, but it still hasn’t been revealed who that is. They may be from the new group, but that remains to be seen.

ย

Who Is The New Group?

Speaking of the new group, Rick and the others were surrounded by the massive horde of new characters at the end of the episode.

These are obviously all fresh characters, but there’s no indication as to who they are or where they came from.

These people in the junk yard will likely be big players going forward.

ย

Will Ezekiel Change His Mind?

Unlike the comic storyline, King Ezekiel wasn’t immediately willing to take the fight to Negan’sย doorstep. The Kingdom leader isn’t ready to take his people to war just yet.

Will he change his mind?

It might take something big – maybe even one of his people dying – but Ezekiel is sure to alter his stance on this. Rick needs The King in order to fight Negan.

It’ll happen, it just might take a while.

ย

Will Daryl And Carol Reunite?

When Daryl heard Carol was around, the first thing he did was ask where she was. Morgan didn’t let him know, but that could be changing soon.

Carol wants to be left alone, so Daryl will have his work cut out for him. However, if there’s one person Carol wouldn’t hate seeing at this point, it’s Daryl.

Could their relationship finally blossom now that they’re both in The Kingdom?

ย

Why Did Negan Block The Road?

Negan’sย Saviors are working on re-directing the massive heard, so it makes sense that they are rigging tripwires and explosives all over the place.

But, why that road?

Was Neganย leading the walkers to a specific place, or just trying to get them the hell outta town?
