With only two weeks left until the mid-season finale, The Walking Dead is looking to pick things up with their newest episode, ‘Sing Me A Song’.

The title may sound strange, but it comes from an important comic storyline that is currently being set up on the show.

When Carl shows up at Sanctuary, and kills a few Saviors, Negan tries to take him under his wing. At one point, he asks Carl to sing him a song. This title means the scenario will likely play out in a similar fashion on the show.

What else will happen in this 90-minute episode? Take a look through five of our predictions!

More Than One Group Is Featured

This one can be assumed by the previews for the episode, but we’re just going to double down and make it clear — there will be multiple stories in this episode.

Instead of another week where only one main character is involved, ‘Sing Me A Song’ will look to continue the sagas of many characters. Rick, Michonne, Negan, and many more look to make appearances in the new episode.

After fans have been bitter about the storyteliing strategies of The Walking Dead for a couple of weeks, this episode could be the redeemer. If Carl goes to the Sanctuary, and Rick is having troubles out on the road, it could become a fan-favorite episode.

Daryl Escapes

Daryl is having a rough time of things over at the Sanctuary, but it’s clear he hasn’t let it break him. While he may not open his mouth in front of Negan, and continue obeying the villain’s commands, Daryl still refuses to buy into The Saviors’ philosophy.

If Daryl has a chance to get out, he’s going to take it. No matter how it comes, if it’s a legitimate shot to escape, the beloved character won’t hesitate.

There’s a couple of ways this could happen, but it’s difficult to say which one fans could end up seeing. If the comics are any indication, there’s two very likely scenarios.

First, Dwight could let Daryl out. The second, which the show has clearly set up, is a disturbance outside of Sanctuary when Carl hops out of the truck. The boy willl open fire on the Saviors, everyone will be distracted, and Daryl can make his move.

Negan Uses The Iron

In the comics, Negan revealed a very unique form of punishment. If a man didn’t follow the rules, and slept with one if Negan’s wives, the maniacal villain would burn the man’s face with a hot iron.

If you were wondering, this is exactly how Dwight got his scars.

Now that Carl appears to be on his way to Sacntuary, another burn victim could be in store. When Carl arrives to Negan’s home in the comics, he proceeeds to show the boy how he rules people.

Some leaders have been said to rule with an iron fist, Negan just rules with an iron.

Spencer Dies

Sooner or later, this is going to happen. In the comics, Negan kills Spencer when he tries to sell Rick out.ย

Spencer wanted to get rid of Rick, and become the leader of Alexandria. When Spencer approached Negan about this, the villain cut him open and killed him.ย

This may have only been how the comics played out, but a very similar plot is unfolding on the show as well.

Two episodes ago, Spencer was seen trying to tell Rick off. Rick quickly put him in his place, but the mindset is still there.ย

If Spencer tries to turn Rick over, Negan won’t appreciate it one bit.

Rick Finds The Kingdom

Rick and Aaron are off on their own, and no one knows where they’ll end up. This is one are where the show has veered from the comics, but it’s looking like a similar situation.

It clearly won’t be Jesus that leads Rick to the Kingdom, since he’s in the truck with Carl. Aaron, however, is with Rick, and the two could discover the community all on their own.

We haven’t seen Ezekiel since the second episode of the season, and now would be a great time to introduce the two leaders that could take down Negan.
