The Walking Dead has done a great job of bringing its classic comic characters to life, as well as creating new characters for the show. Folks like Michonne and Maggie seem to jump straight from the page to the screen, and characters like Daryl and Sasha have become big fan-favorites, even without the source material.

There are other characters from The Walking Dead universe however, that we would still love to see come alive on the show. Between Fear The Walking Dead, the comic series, the novels, and the Telltale game series, there are a plethora of great characters who would be welcomed additions for TV fans.

According to TWD editor Sean Mackiewicz, one of the biggest characters in the connected universe could potentially show up in the future.

In the question section of the latest issue of The Walking Dead, a fan asked Mackiewicz and Robert Kirkman about the possibility of Clementine – the lead character in the Telltale series – appearing in the comic or on the show. Since she ran into Jesus in the recent chapters of the game, it’s evident that she exists within the same universe.

The editor responded with a logical answer, that definitely doesn’t rule her appearance out.

“Telltale’s latest installment of their TWD game series, ‘The New Frontier’, occurs during the time jump after TWD #126. So a lot could happen before she ever appeared. And that’s not me being coy. I have no idea…yet. It takes time to write those things.”

While the comic is long past this moment in time, the show is quickly approaching it. The current episodes are at the same part of the story as issue #111, so the time jump could occur soon. This would leave the option to introduce Clementine at some point before the show ends.

This also opens up the chances of seeing Clementine in the comic, but that sounds like it’s much further down the road, according to this quote.
