When The Walking Dead began printing as a comic in 2003, Tony Moore was the artist attached to Robert Kirkman’s series. Before the unforgettable issue #100 would print in 2012, Moore would depart from his role as the series’ artist but that hasn’t stopped him from depicting Glenn’s death in that issue.

The original The Walking Dead artist took to Instagram to share a photo of his take on Glenn Rhee‘s unforgettable death by the bat of Negan. True to the moments, Moore’s perspective features the brutal eye-popping moments from the issue but put Moore’s artistic spin on them. The art which sees Glenn’s skull cracked in half, like it was with Adlard’s art on the printed pages, appears in a more cartoonish fashion under Moore’s style.

Check it out below.

Moore worked on The Walking Dead starting from its first issue. Adlard took over as the main artist on issue #7, but Moore continued the cover art through issue #24. Moore is selling his work, which is drawn on the a black variant cover of The Walking Dead issue #150 at Boston Comic Con according to the caption of his Instagram photo.
