Jeffrey Dean Morgan is brought onto the stage to thunderous applause, and to several people screaming “I love you!” Morgan jokes about next year’s convention, saying “If I’m around next year…” He begins by inviting people up the microphones in the aisles to ask questions.

Fan questions begin.
Who was your favorite person to film with on Supernatural?
“Oh, the boys of course. Those two dudes are two of the nicest guys in this business. Jensen and Jared I’ve known for 15 years and they have not changed a bit. That’s hard to do when you’ve done a show for that long, to stay cool and humble and awesome.”
Jeffrey teases the audience about accidentally revealing his baby’s gender at another convention. A young boy dressed as Negan performs one of his lines for Jeffrey and he’s brought up onto the stage.
If you were Negan, what would you do if you met Carol?
“Carol, can you bake me cookies? No, just kidding she’d probably put a bullet in my skull. She’d be like, ‘Oh, look at the flowers.’”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan on killing Glenn and Abraham.
“I miss both those guys from the show. We still get a kick outta the fact that I get all kinds of s*** for killing them, something I didn’t even write! You guys all know I’m a paid actor right? Yeah, The Walking Dead is just a documentary, it all actually happened. So when you see Cudlitz later on, that’s just a ghost.”
If your show Magic City had a Season 3, what would’ve happened?
“There indeed was a Season 3, but they actually wrote a feature length script that we’re hoping to film in Cuba if I can ever find the time. Who knew this Walking Dead thing was such a full time job?! Seriously, I have never seen a harder working group of people than the ones on this show.”
Morgan is asked about what would have happened if John Winchester and Negan would’ve switched places.
“Compared to Negan, John seems like a pretty good dude. So those guys would probably be really screwed. They’re both cool, but Negan wins, man. Negan’s awesome.”
What’s going to happen to Dwight or Eugene if Negan finds out that they may be traitors?
“I think he really likes Eugene, I mean he’s Dr. Smarty Pants for god’s sake. You know that guy has that mullet year-round? Like that’s his actual hair, could you imagine being his wife?
“The great thing about this year, that I can tell y’all, is that we’re going to find out a lot more about Negan. There is a lot of Negan’s backstory out there. We haven’t filmed any of that, but there are conversations with a few characters where we’ll find out a little more about him. We’ll have some quieter moments this year, some one-on-one interactions where you’ll learn more about where he’s from. Even if you hate Negan, you’re gonna start to understand how he became the man that he is and why he does the things that he does. I’m learning more about Negan every time I put on my leather jacket.”
If the writers left it up to you, who would you have killed instead of Glenn and Abraham?
“Well, can’t kill Daryl cause you’ll riot. And he’s by best friend and that would suck. Can’t kill Andy cause there would be no show. Carl?! I can’t kill Carl he’s just a kid. There’s no way to answer this question without making somebody mad. Suck my nuts.”
Who should play Lucille if she’s cast on the show?
“If we ever film that, I would go with my wife. I’m gonna say her cause I’ll need a place to go after this is over. Hilary read the comic books and is as much invested in it as we all are. She’s said, ‘Jeff, could you put in a word for me?’ I would love to have her on and the scenes they have together, Lucille and Negan, lay the groundwork for who Negan becomes. It would be a lot easier as an actor to look at my wife not doing well in the hospital and generate those feelings.”
What’s your favorite line to say as Negan?
“My favorite that you all have seen, is “I just slid my c*** down your throat and you thanked me for it.’ Andy told me that day on the set that I could only say it to him once. I said it like 400 times. He hated it, but I take a little bit of joy in riling Andy up.”
What other character on the show would you like to play?
“I’ve gotta say Daryl Dixon and I’ll tell you why. Negan talks so much and has so many lines and it’s exhausting. Daryl just says, “RICK!” And he gets to ride a motorcycle and blow up s***.”
