There are people who love their jobs and then there is Cooper Andrews, who gleefully trains for his days on set of The Walking Dead.

In a new video released to the actor's Instagram page, Andrews is seen preparing for some axe battle scenes. While Andrews has emphasized how much fun he has training with and using Jerry's axe in scenes for The Walking Dead, watching the actor prepare is exhausting in itself.

Check out Andrews' proof of readiness for the return of the medieval era in the video below!

"Jerry's workout: swing something heavy for a minute then load up on five sets of breakfast cobbler," Andrews writes with the post.

In another behind-the-scenes video centered around Sunday's The Walking Dead Episode 8x04, Andrews talked about how excited he was to get into the action with his axe and split a person in half. "This morning when I woke up, I was super excited," Andrews said. "I was already showered, already dressed. I went to bed with my clothes on just to get out the door."

Andrews joined The Walking Dead in its seventh season, debuting in its second episode. His Jerry character served as a touch of comic relief, aiding King Ezekiel at their Kingdom community, and quickly becoming a fan-favorite character for his love of cobbler and puns.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
