So, yes. After more than a decade, one of Doctor Who‘s most shippable Doctor/Companion couples is making a comeback.

Earlier today, news broke that Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures Vol. 2 will feature several new audio dramas featuring the characters. The episodic stories will be set during Doctor Who‘s second season, and it will feature other familiar voices. Camille Coduri has signed on to guest-star as Rose’s mother Jackie. You can hear a short snippet of the elder Tyler’s return below!

If you are curious about the episodes, then you can learn about them below. “Attack of the Zaross” will be penned by John Dorney whilst “Sword of Chevalier” was scripted by Guy Adams. “Cold Vengeance” was overseen by Matt Fillon. The stories will feature plenty of stunning aliens as the Tenth Doctor and Rose travel to 1971 England and also run aground on a frozen asteroid.

This is not the first time the BBC has reunited the Tenth Doctor with his companions. Last year, the network supported audio dramas which brought Tennant back together with Donna Noble’s Catherine Tate. The run of stories were praised by fans and critics, leaving many to ask the BBC to one day bring the stories to life on screen.

Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures Vol. 2 will go on sale in November thanks to Big Finish. For those of you wanting to watch Doctor Who, then you can catch up with the series and its 12th Doctor if you have the time. BBC is currently airing Peter Capaldi’s final season as the Doctor.

Doctor Who airs on Saturdays on BBC America. The finale of Doctor Who‘s 10th season will air on July 1st with “The Doctor Falls.” Rachel Talalay will direct the two-part finale.
