Tesla Motors executive — and the best thing we’ll probably ever get to a real life Tony Stark — Elon Musk saw the Twitter account of Rick and Morty talking science and like any good fanboy would, Musk chimed right in.

Using the newly expanded 280-character limit to his advantage, Musk and the Rick and Morty account had a back and forth about the singularity theory — a theory in which artificial intelligence surpasses human capability, abruptly triggering incredible technological growth, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization.

Are you lost yet? No worries, Musk will do his best explaining.

“The singularity for this level of the simulation is coming soon. I wonder what the levels above us look like,” Musk tweeted. “Good chance they are less interesting and deeper levels are better. So far, even our primitive sims are often more entertaining than reality itself.”

Rick and Morty chimed right back in, intimating that they hoped the “developers don’t change” as they’re used to the physics in this reality.

Man, I really should have paid attention in science class.

“I know that closet is nice and warm, but it’s time you admitted you are one of the creators of the next one,” Musk iterated. “Everyone already knows and we will still love you just as much (almost).”

Thanks for the quick lesson Musk & Co. Don’t mind us as we go try and find some more Szechaun Sauce.
