Netflix is no stranger to female-led programming, with shows such as Orange is the New Black, One Day at a Time, and the upcoming wrestling comedy GLOW showcasing different and diverse female storylines. Even some of Netflix’s more male-centric original shows, such as House of Cards and Stranger Things, have achieved breakout status thanks to their lead female characters.

Now, the streaming platform promises to deliver another new female-centric story, thanks to its upcoming show Girlboss. You can watch the trailer for the series below:
The thirteen episode series will be based on the true story of Sophia Amoruso (played by Under the Dome alum Brit Robertson), as told through her 2014 autobiography of the same name.
The series will follow Amoruso who, in her early twenties, became one of the first pioneers of the online eBay market, using it to flip vintage clothing and other items. Amoruso later went on to form the fashion website Nasty Gal, becoming – as the title suggests – her own boss.
Robertson’s co-stars include Johnny Simmons (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Alphonso McAuley (The Middle), and Ellie Reed (2 Broke Girls). The series will feature cameos from RuPaul, Jim Rash (Community), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), and Norm Macdonald (Saturday Night Live).
The series is created by Kay Cannon, whose credits include 30 Rock, New Girl, and the Pitch Perfect films. Executive producers on Girlboss include Amoruso herself, as well as Charlize Theron.
All episodes of Girlboss will be available on Netflix on April 21st.
