The streaming service’s latest documentary series is called The Keepers, and it’s poised to be the next investigative phenomenon.
The Keepers centers around the murder of a young nun in Baltimore. The only problem? The murder occurred about 50 years ago.
The subject in question is Catholic school teacher Cathy Cesnik. The young woman went missing in November of 1969, and her body was found in the early months of 1970. Now, in modern day, her friends still wonder who it was that killed Cathy.
The series sets to shed light on the hidden secrets of the Catholic Church in Baltimore in the late 60s, as many believe Cathy was trying to uncover some lies within that community.
Netflix debuted the first trailer for The Keepers on Wednesday, and it’s going to be a difficult one to watch. Just like Making A Murderer, Serial, and Amanda Knox, The Keepers will baffle, anger, confuse, and upset viewers every step of the way. Be prepared to endure another obsession, as there are plenty of twists coming with this series.
All seven episodes of The Keepers will air on Netflix on May 19. You can watch the full trailer above.
