Matt Hardy’s Wife Goes On Epic Twitter Rant Against Impact Wrestling

It seemed like Anthem was getting off to a good start with their takeover of Impact Wrestling, though the company did lose a number of notable talents like The Hardys. Still, that’s going to happen in this business, but now it seems things have gone into pettiness territory with their recent cease and desist letter to the Hardys over their “broken” gimmick, and Reby Hardy has a great deal to say on the subject.

The “broken brilliance” schtick that the Hardys have been selling on Impact Wrestling over the last few years has easily been one of the biggest highlights for the company, and while contract negotiations were ongoing it seemed Impact wanted to keep them in house. That fell through, however, and now that the Hardys are taking their talents to places like Ring of Honor the company now wants to say they own that gimmick and everything the Hardys created while there. The company’s Ed Nordholm then sent out a tweet that said “We thank @matthardybrand for a superb performance in Broken Universe. May the seven deities guide with their Broken Brilliance left behind.” That didn’t sit well with Reby Hardy, who is married to Matt. She went off on Twitter and brought a number of interesting details to light (via SEScoops).

First, she pointed out that their contracts could have been broken numerous times during their run with TNA, all of which would have been TNA’s fault. She then highlighted the fact that Jeff Jarret was a constant obstacle in negotiations, and that Impact is saying they own Senor Benjamin, who was actually never under contract with the company and did his parts for free. She also said that TNA went “radio silent” for weeks, but then the Hardys got a two-hour deadline to respond to TNA’s offer. Reby’s response of “F*** you think this is, “Taken”? LOL I can’t.” was quite funny actually.
