At a Netflix press event in Paris, Daredevil star Charlie Cox was on hand to promote season two of the acclaimed series, a collaboration between Marvel TV and the streaming service.

While Cox didn't have any news about a possible Daredevil season three (he said he "certainly doesn't know" if there will be one), he did have some news about the big Marvel/Netflix team-up series, The Defenders.

"What we do know is at the end of this year we're going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome," Cox announced. With Iron Fist season one getting started soon and a Jessica Jones second season still planned ahead of The Defenders, it may come as a surprise that the series, which brings together the four individual characters (Luke Cage comes along for the ride, too), will film in 2016.

Of course, it is still early, and Cox doesn't know exactly what's going to happen in the show.

"I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show," Cox cautioned. "I'm very excited to see how those worlds combine, and interested to see tonally how those shows become one."

The actor also said he's unsure whether any open storylines from Daredevil season 2 will carry over directly into The Defenders, but sounded hopeful.

Next up from Marvel/Netflix is Luke Cage season one, premiering on Netflix September 30, 2016.
