In order to transform into Wonder Woman for her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot had to add a significant amount of weight to her slender 5'10" frame. To help her accomplish her goal, strength coach Mark Twight, the man who helped sculpt Henry Cavill's Superman physique, worked with the Israeli model-turned-actress, taking it one stage at a time.

"Anytime you present someone with a really radical change, it's hard to get them to buy in 100% to the idea," Wight said in March issue of Muscle & Fitness (via henrycavill).. "So we took it in incremental steps. We went from a model to a high jumper, in terms of an athletic look. And then once she was comfortable with that, then we'd go a little bit further."

Since then, Gadot added even more muscles for her Wonder Woman solo film, and now, while Justice League is currently filming, she's continuing to workout just as hard to stay in peak physical condition. Yesterday, Gadot posted a photo of herself boxing. It's a great exercise to improve speed and reflexes, as well as stay lean, making sure every muscle she has built will be seen.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

The film is being directed by Zack Snyder, based on a screenplay by Chris Terrio. The cast features Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, and Amber Heard as Mera.

Justice League will open in theaters on November 17, 2017.
