Knowing that different Pokemon spawn in different regions in Pokemon Go, imagine the catches one could make in a galaxy far, far away?! John Boyega doesn't have to imagine. The actor who debuted as Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year is trying to catch 'em all on the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

"I do have the app," Boyega says of Pokemon Go. "Currently at level 5, CP levels are looking good. I found a Pikachu at Pinewood Studios while filming Star Wars. I told everybody. 'I got a Pikachu!' I was the most popular kid on set for like a day."

Off the set of Star Wars, Boyega is still very much aware (and part of) the gaming phenomenon. "I was in Boston a few days ago and I thought there was like a fight going on, there were so many people crowding," Boyega says. "I was like, 'What's going on?' Oh, they're just playing Pokemon. It's great the ways technology has brought us all together. It's a very interesting time."

Boyega's Pokemon roster will grow insanely once the global press tour for Star Wars: Episode VIII begins, though there is still over a year until all of that. By then, maybe some new Pokemon will be added to the game and we'll all be able to continue our efforts to catch 'em all.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set for release in December of 2018.
