It seems like yet another actress has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homcoming. In an exclusive, Variety is reporting that Jona Xiao has signed onto the film.

Born in China, the actress grew up in St. Louis where she developed her interests in acting. Jona has appeared in over fifteen films and theater productions along with various TV roles and voice-over work. Currently, Xiao can be seen on Halt and Catch Fire and Keeping Up With the Joneses. Jona has also appeared in projects like Rizzoli & Isles, Trophy Wife, and Bones.

As for her role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, there's no official word on who Jona will be playing. Both Sony and Marvel Studios are being tight-lipped about the actress' involvement. Fans, however, did recently learn of rumors which allege Zendaya is playing Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming. And, of course, Tom Holland will be reprising his role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the film. Maria Tomei will play the teen's Aunt May while Michael Keaton is signed on to play the film's villain.

Currently, the film is in production as shooting continues in Atlanta, GA. Jon Watts is directing the film with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal working as producers. Spider-Man: Homecoming marks the first time both Sony and Marvel Studios will partner to bring the iconic web-slinging hero onto the big screen. And the film has been gaining buzz over the past few months as more casting announcements are dropped.

Aside from Jona, other talent such as Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Logan Marshall-Green, Bokeem Woodbine, and more will star in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

For now, fans will have to wait until Spider-Man: Homecoming's release crawls closer for them to learn more about Jona's role. Marvel's next film slated for release is Doctor Strange on November 4th with Spider-Man's solo film to debut next July.
