Things are getting busy for the One Piece fandom. The long-running anime recently wrapped up its last canon arc when the Zou Saga closed. In the coming weeks, One Piece will slow down the pace when it enters a new filler arc, but shift won't last forever. The anime's anime-only storyline won't last for as long as fans thought. After a handful of episodes, One Piece will get back in the saddle when it moves into a new canon story arc come April.

In the most recent Newtype issue, fans of One Piece finally learned when the anime would enter the Whole Cake Island arc. The story will get into full swing come April 9th and everyone's favorite Straw-Hat pirate will be making a long-awaited return with the new arc. That's right! Sanji is on his way back, and his lustful personality will be making a comeback as well.

Of course, One Piece has already touched upon the Whole Cake Island arc briefly. After the Zou storyline came to a close, the anime went ahead and covered the arc's first couple of chapters. Now, the Whole Cake Island is about to get going for real, and the entire Totto Land stoyrline can get underway.

If you are not familiar with the Whole Cake Island storyline, then you can catch up with it through Eiichiro Oda's manga. The shonen title is still inking the massive story.

In the Whole Cake Island arc, fans watch as Monkey D. Luffy and his trusted crew go to save Sanji from the isolated island. Nami, Chopper, and Brook want to help their friend escape Big Mom and her gang of pirates. Sanji has been coerced into captivity by the gang as the pirate's family arranged a marriage between Sanji and Big Mom's daugther Charlotte Pudding. Along the way, Luffy's crew scouts out help from a few additional fighters who have their own reasons to confront Big Mom's crew, and Luffy hopes he can show Sanji just how two-faced his fiance truly is.

Before One Piece begins the adaptations of the Whole Cake Island arc, it will go through a few filler installments. Starting on March 19th, the anime will embark on its "Navy Rookies" storyline for three episodes before One Piece returns to its canon. Episode 783 will be titled "Sanji Returns Home - To Big Mom's Territory" and see the loose pirate fall head-over-heels for his betrothed.
