DC has provided ComicBook.com with a first look at the solicitation for Batman Beyond: Rebirth #1, due out in September from writer Dan Jurgens and artist Ryan Sook.
The issue is one of two Batman Beyond issues due out that month, including Batman Beyond #16, which will conclude the current run of the series from Jurgens and artist Bernard Chang, who has drawn most of the book.
In the current series, a future version of Tim Drake is Batman Beyond, spinning out of the events of The New 52: Futures End, in which that Drake was a major player and Terry McGinnis, the traditional lead in Batman Beyond, was killed fighting Brother Eye.
It isn't clear just now, but in Batman Beyond Rebirth #1, McGinnis will return, taking over the series from Tim. It's not clear whether Tim will be sent back to his own time (he's from five years in the future, whereas Batman Beyond takes place about 20 years beyond that), or whether he will remain a factor in Batman Beyond going forward.
You cantake a look at the solicitation text and covers for both the final pre-Rebirth issue of Batman Beyond and the Rebirth one-shot below.
