Wolverine 3 Starts Casting Calls in New Orleans

A casting call from Central Casting is looking for stand-ins and photo doubles on "Juarez," the code name for the as-yet-unnamed Wolverine 3. The film is reportedly Hugh Jackman's last time putting on the claws for the X-Men movie universe.

The stand-ins needed are shorter "Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian looking females over the age of 21," specifically at a height of 4'-4'11" and size 0-4 with dark brown hair.

Likewise, photo doubles for the same, "Caucasian, Hispanic, and Asian-looking females" but this time children, age 6-13, at a similar height of 4'2"-4'5" and also with dark brown hair.

They're only looking for locals to submit to the James Mangold-directed film, and say "If you fit the description above, please submit a recent photo along with your name, contact phone number, and location to Juarez@centralcasting.com with DOUBLE/STAND-IN in the subject line."

Crew members are also being hired for the shoot in New Orleans.

So, who are these stand-ins and doubles coming in to help? Well, the very general grouping of women and children being looked for doesn't give us much. Knowing Wolverine, an X-Men fan's mind does tend to jump to someone like X-23, who in the pages of Marvel Comics is cloned from Wolverine's DNA (she's the 23rd - and most successful - cloning attempt). A diminutive female with dark brown hair and an ambiguously ethnic look fits the description of the character from the comics, and would certainly be an interesting addition to the X-Men universe, as well as a way to pass the torch to a new version of Wolverine without re-casting.

Of course, it could just be a minor character, or with the rumored "Old Man Logan" story, it could be stand-ins for Logan's family (he had a wife and kids in the comic book storyline - well, had being the operative word).

Wolverine 3 is due to start filming soon for a March 3, 2017 release.
