Star Wars: The Last Jedi earned $68 million from 54 international markets over the weekend. That brings the film's international box office total to $523.3 million. Added to the film's $517 million domestic total, Star Wars: The Last Jedi has earned $1.04 billion worldwide.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the third-fastest film to hit the $1 billion mark ever. Star Wars: The Force Awakens achieved that milestone the fastest. Jurassic World was the second-fastest.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is pacing 35 percent behind The Force Awakens at foreign markets. It is pacing 36 percent of ahead of last year's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The Last Jedi made a splash in its international opening weekend. The film earned $230 in its first three days in foreign markets. The Last Jedi opened to a combined $450 million worldwide. That is the fifth largest opening in box office history.

The Last Jedi won't open in China, the largest international market, until January. Pre-sales in that market picked up recently.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is globally the fourth highest grossing movie of 2017. Domestically, The Last Jedi is the highest grossing movie of the year.

The Last Jedi's worldwide box office has been projected to reach $1.6 billion before the end of its run.
