A new Attack on Titan live action television series is in the works, set to debut this August. Inspired by Hajime Isayama’s popular manga, the new television project will tell a new story of the complex everyday lives of soldiers, and will tie into the two upcoming live action films.
The television series will star Satomi Ishihara , who will reprise her role as Hanji from the live action movies, as the lead. Also reprising their roles from the movies will be Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Rina Takeda as Lil, and Ayame Misaki as Hiana.
Yūta Hiraoka will join the cast as a new character, and the live action film director, Sinji Higuchi, will direct the show.
The live action film project is being supervised by Isayama, so it’s possible that he has his hands on the television project as well. The series will stream on the dTV streaming service in August.
