How do you make Kung Fury, the over-the-top parody film of eighties cop movies, even more ridiculous than it already is?

You get David Hasselhoff to perform the film’s main song.

Hasselhoff, icon of eighties action and mullets, raises Kung Fury’s old school celebration up by several octaves in the laser-beam fueled music video to “True Survivor,” an over-amped theme song in the vein of “Eye of the Tiger.” With Tron-level graphics, fog machines, and dinosaurs, it fits in beautifully with Kung Fury‘s world.

A KickStarter project starring David Sandberg, Kung Fury is an upcoming comedy film that honors and parodies eighties Sweedish martial arts films, cop action films, and the decade’s other entertainment relics.

You can pop your Lacoste collars and watch the video below.

According to Sandberg, Kung Fury is set to release somewhere between May 22 and May 29.
