Marvel Television has officially announced the start of production on Agent Carter Season 2, and revealed the first official image from the set.

The image reveals that Agent Daniel Souza (Enver Gjokaj) is getting a promotion, all the way up to chief.

So if Souza if the new chief, what happened Agent Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), who took all the credit for last season’s heroics? Murray is confirmed to return, but maybe Thompson he’ll abdicate whatever position of authority his ill-earned notoriety has won him. On the other hand, we know that Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) is heading to the west coast for Season 2, so perhaps Souza is in charge of a new branch of SSR outside of New York.

For her part, Atwell began stunt training for the new season a couple of days ago, and she’s got the battle scar to prove it.

Agent Carter Season 2 will air during ABCs 2016 midseason.
