Although tonight's episode of Game of Thrones will mainly be about the fate of the North, we should also get a big clue as to how Daenerys and her allies will finally head to Westeros. Daenerys lost her fleet of ships earlier this season, when the Sons of the Harpy burned the fleet in the harbor as an act of terrorism. With no way to transport her army of Unsullied and Dothraki to Westeros, it seemed like her dream to retake the Iron Throne had suffered yet another setback.

But this week, hope may arrive to Meeren in the form of Yara and Theon Greyjoy. Yara and Theon fled the Iron Islands with most of the Iron Fleet in tow after their uncle Euron murdered their father Balon and took control of the islands during a Kingsmoot. After fleeing to Essos, Yara told Theon how she planned to get her revenge on Euron: she would ally herself with Daenerys and use her dragons to retake the Iron Islands from their uncle.

Yara and Theon seem to be filling the role that her uncle Victarion plays in the books. Victarion is Euron's brother, and served as Balon Greyjoy's chief lieutenant for much of the series. In the books, Victarion lost the Kingsmoot and was sent to Meeren by Euron to propose a marriage arrangement between Daenerys and Euron. However, Victarion has a personal grudge against Victarion (Euron raped Victarion's wife, leading to Euron's exile) and planned to double cross Euron by marrying Daenerys instead. Early chapters from the upcoming Winds of Winter books show Victarion arriving at Meeren just as the Yunkai army begins their siege of Mereen.

While Yara probably won't propose to Daenerys, the two seem like they would be natural allies. Yara is yet another exile from Westeros (Daenerys has a habit of collecting those for her entourage) and she has the means to transport Daenerys and her entire army to Westeros, right as the Seven Kingdoms reaches its weakest point. Plus, Yara is a capable warrior, especially in naval combat.

Once Daenerys takes care of the Yunkai forces sitting in her harbor, we may finally see the rightful claimant to the Iron Throne begin her invasion of Westeros. A friendly fleet could soon arrive on her doorstep, waiting to take her Dothraki-infused army to Westeros to begin her campaign to take back her family's kingdom.
