Pokemon GO continues its push into new territories, and recently it finally released in Japan. That’s all well and good, and the more people that get to experience the mobile phenomenon the better.

The thing is, a pattern has started emerging as the game gets into more players hands, which is that household pets, whether Dog, Cat, Bird, or Rabbit, seem to be keenly aware of the digital creatures occupying their personal space. That might seem like a reach, and some of the photos are clearly photoshopped, but it’s still fun to think about, and a few of these really manage to be convincing (via Bored Panda).

Take for instance Hashimoto_shogo’s cat starting down at an angle at a Doduo that happened to be in front of its perch. Frankly, I can’t blame the cat for being cautious, as Doduo’s are just really off-putting to me. They always look angry.

Another highlight is Sarah-Jane Bird’s rabbit, who spotted a Weedle in his habitat. One, it’s crazy rude to just stand on top of someone’s furniture like that, and two if you do have someone in your space, at least offer them some tea. Harruha’s parrot also didn’t take kindly to the Psyduck that camped out on its owner’s hand.

Though I think my favorite shot goes to Mikiodesuga1 who just so happened to catch the perfect photo of his dog running towards the camera and saw it as a grand opportunity to place a Mankey right behind him. If it did happen to be real, can you really blame the dog? If you were just walking around and saw that pop up out of midair you’d hightail it out of there too.
