The official synospsis for Service reads, “The remaining members of the group try to keep it together in Alexandria; they receive a sobering visit.”

The sobering visit in reference is likely Negan’s first trip to Alexandria. After all, the menace has to go out and introduce himself to the neighborhood and collect his new stuff. The Season 7 trailer for The Walking Dead showed Negan knocking on the gate of Alexandria and having lemonade with Olivia. This will likely be the week we see the scenes realized.

Next week’s episode of The Walking Dead will run for 85-minutes as opposed to the standard 60-minutes. It will be the first time Rick’s group is seen since Negan bashed the skulls of two of their friends. Episode 2 of Season 7 introduced the Hilltop, followed by Episode 3’s exploration of Negan’s Sanctuary with prisoner of war Daryl Dixon.

Don’t expect to see Maggie or Sasha in Service. The two have set out for the Hilltop and likely won’t be returning to the series until Episode 5 as they begin to mesh with Jesus, Gregory, and the others. However, before the season ends, we will likely see the communities aligning in a joint effort to take down the new big bad.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
