Peter Parker’s first big throwdown with Marvel’s elite came about in Captain America: Civil War, but next time around he won’t be battling it out with other heroes. In Spider-Man: Homecoming the web-slinger will be fighting a villain much closer to home, as he takes on the Vulture, and now we have another look at the anticipated villain.
Reddit user Mackey_00 posted a screenshot of what looks to be an internal model for the film, though it could also be early work on statues and figures for next year. It shows a very practical version of the Vulture, with black stealth-like wings and a face covering helmet that looks more like Pilot gear. He’s wearing a brown leather jacket with military styled pants, and his boots have mechanical talons, presumably to help him land on uneven surfaces.

Vulture isn’t the only villain in Homecoming, as there are rumored to be three of them in the film. Vulture is confirmed, and many think Michael Keaton will end up playing the role, while the Shocker is being played by Bokeem Woodbine. As for the last one, it’s not known who that will be, but there is also going to be another surprise character from the comics making an appearance according to those same reports.
“We’ve also been told that there will be a surprise appearance from a character that is central to the Spider-Man mythos, one who will play a larger role in upcoming films,” they continue. “We just can’t confirm who it is at this time.”
For those who have acted in a superhero project, the suits are probably the least comfortable thing about the entire experience. That is certainly the case for Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
“The suit’s not the greatest thing, but sometimes when it’s uncomfortable, you just have to remind yourself of the long list of actors that would love to be in that suit and you just go, ‘do you know what, f**k it. I’m the luckiest kid alive,’” Holland said at Saturday’s New York Film Festival premiere of The Lost City of Z. “‘I deserve to be here and I’m going to give it my best.’
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
