Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 7 follow.
The Walking Dead is certainly paying off the build over the past five weeks. Carl and Jesus were revisited after they were left in the back of a Saviors truck in Episode 7×05 and Carl fulfilled his comic book destiny of mowing down a few of the bad guys. Of course, that also meant being captured by the villainous Negan.

The events of issue #105 were consequently realized in all of their live-action glory on Sunday night’s Sing Me A Song episode of The Walking Dead.
Negan demanded Carl remove his eyepatch, forcing him to expose his humbling scar for the first time since Ron shot him in Episode 6×09. It didn’t end there, though. In addition to harsh and degrading comments about the damage to Carl’s face, Negan proceeded to make Carl sing him a song as he stood by swinging his Lucille bat the same way he did to kill Abraham and Glenn in the Season 7 premiere.
In the gallery below, you can catch a closer look at the scarring on Carl Grimes’ face as seen in Episode 7×07.
