With the title of Avengers 4 remaining a mystery, the Internet thought Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actress Zoe Saldana had slipped up at a press event and spilled the title to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ultimate culmination.

Speaking to press on the Vol. 2 world tour, Saldana said the cast of Guardians had wrapped their efforts of Infinity War (the third Avengers film) and would return only to continue their work with the fourth film. She referred to it as, “Gauntlet.”
Infinity Gauntlet has long been suspected as the story being adapted to the third and fourth Avengers film but according to Guardians director James Gunn, Gauntlet is not the title. “It’s not the title,” Gunn told Yahoo. “My guess is that Zoe just misspoke. I’ll talk to Zoë today, but I would imagine that is just Zoe misspeaking and saying Infinity Gauntlet instead of Infinity War.”
Speaking to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige at the Marvel Studios headquarters last week, ComicBook.com learned that Feige hopes to hold the title of the fourth Avengers film until after the third is released. Feige went as far as saying he hopes to hold it for “as long as possible.”
For now, Avengers 4 is just that and will build on the sure-to-be explosive starting point that is Avengers: Infinity War.
