Star Wars: Galactic Nights Returns To Disney World For ‘The Last Jedi’

If Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s opening weekend isn’t exciting enough, Disney Parks is planning on throwing quite the party.

Earlier today, Disney and Star Wars announced the return of their Star Wars: Galactic Nights event. The first event was held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in April of this year, and included themed food, fireworks, and celebrity appearances. The next event will occur on December 16th, the day after The Last Jedi opens in theaters.

“A Hollywood-inspired gala party, guests will arrive to red-carpet welcome and enjoy an evening of Star Wars festivities, including: performances of Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away; stunning fireworks during Star Wars: Galactic Spectacular; a one-night-only panel discussion on the future of the Star Wars-themed land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; tunes courtesy of a DJ at Center Stage; Darth Vader and a battalion of stormtroopers marching down Hollywood Blvd.; photo opportunities in iconic Star Wars scenes thanks to incredibly detailed backdrops; encounters with Ewoks, stormtroopers, roaming droids, and more; striking projection effects on legendary park landmarks; the chance to ride Star Tours – The Adventures Continue; and more surprises.”

This isn’t the only Star Wars-inspired Disney attraction that fans will be able to experience. Details have gradually been revealed about the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land, which is set to open in 2019. And a fully-immersive Star Wars resort is currently in development as well.

If you’d like to attend the Star Wars: Galactic Nights event, tickets are currently on sale for $129 each. For hardcore fans of Star Wars’ galaxy far far away, that admission will certainly be worth it.
