Michael Dougherty's Krampus has earned $42.3 million at the domestic box office and $15.4 million at the foreign box office. With a $15 million budget, that $57.7M total made the horror-comedy a moderate hit this past holiday season.

Come take a look at some fantastically-creepy concept art of the title character, demonic gingerbread men and evil elves. This spectacular collection of artwork was created by three conceptual artists: Edvige Faini, Jared Krichevsky and Luca Nemolato.

See a sample of their artwork below. Even more in our gallery at the bottom of the page!

Also, be sure to check out this fascinating behind-the-scenes video that Weta Workshop put out showing how their team of artists created many of the creatures with old-school practical techniques.

Legendary Pictures' Krampus, a darkly festive tale of a yuletide ghoul, reveals an irreverently twisted side to the holiday. When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family's home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive. The horror-comedy also stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler.
