Tickets will be available for pre order for the theatrical screening and will be available for purchase in theaters in Japan on February 18. It will cost 1,500 yen or $13 a ticket, and pre ordering the ticket will come with a special poster.
So far we know that the film will feature a brand new character (the girl who calls the stars) named Kokoa. She is a deserter from the National Defense, and some how ends up in Miyuki’s care. Kokoa appears to just be a young woman, but she is a very mysterious character, and her nature is unknown.
The new film is written by Tsutomu Satou, who was the author of the original light novel, and is writing a new original story. The new story is set to take place in the second spring, as it focuses on a brother and sister Tatsuya and Miyuki as they are on spring break. The two go to their beach house on an island. On the island they encounter Kokoa, who tells them she abandoned the Navel base, and only has one wish.
The first anime adaptation of the 2008 manga series was debuted in April. The original story takes place in an alternate history. In this different world, magic exists and coexists with modern technology. The story follows Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, two siblings who enroll into First High magic high school. Unknown to others, the siblings have connections to the Yotsuba clan secret, as they attempt to stay hidden in every day life.
