‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 111 Recap With Spoilers

The episode begins with a brief overview of last week’s special. Goku is shown getting beat by Jiren and thrown into his new Ultra Instinct state after his Spirit Bomb backfires.

When the new episode begins, its title card is shown. Fans meet up with Freeza who has Goku pinned with an energy blast. Freeza says it is good the hero cannot escape because he is too weak; Freeza brought the hero to a blind-spot in the Tournament arena so he can do one thing. Goku looks perturbed and then Freeza shows off his blast. Goku screams as the blast engulfs him, but the Saiyan is fine. Freeza simply gave him power, and Goku looks stunned. Freeza says he shared his power with the Saiyan as repayment and all debts are now settled between them. After all, Freeza wants to avoid Jiren and have Goku take on the fighter.

Freeza asks Goku if he heard what the gods were saying earlier. Goku is then informed of what his new form is, and Goku seems surprised by the name. He then puts his shoulder back into joint.

Hit is then seen fighting Jiren. The Univers 6 warrior is getting beaen under his uses one of his time-skip moves, and Jiren is not phased though he is interested. As for Zeno, the pair are enjoying the battle. Hit remarks he has experienced the blows which Goku once experienced, and Jiren asks if the man truly intends to beat him. Hit says that is his job, and he uses his Time-Skip to confront Jiren at close range.

The two standoff. Hit uses his attack again and managed to see through it. Whis says that Hit can enter and move through different spaces, but Jiren can see through it. The gods of Universe 6 are shocked, and Hit seems overwhelmed by Jiren’s adaptation to the Time-Skip.

Jiren continues to beat up Hit at high speed. Vados says none of Hit’s moves can be used on Jiren, and the gods are left to wonder why the figher keeps using the move if he cannot have it land. Jiren tells Hit to stop wasting his time. Goku then peeks in on the fight, noting how Jiren has every opportunity to block Goku, but there are two men waiting to ambush Goku while he strategizes.

Part 2

The Namekians from Universe 6 have made themselves know. The two men are shown watching Goku from the ground as the Saiyan watches Jiren. They go to aim an energy blast, but Piccolo and Gohan intercept. The pair says they will fight the Namekians, and the Universe 6 warriors are surprised to see another like them. 

Ribrianne has started fighting Vegeta now, and the Saiyan lands a devastating attack on the warrior. Vegeta calls his pathetic and lands several furious punches on the lovely warrior. However, the girl is stopped by Rozie and anger Vegeta into sending a volley of energy blasts. The pair make an escape while Vegeta is distracted, and Ribrianne asks her comrade is Universe 2 can actually win this. Rozie slaps Ribrianne and tells her to have more love in order to grow stronger. The pair begin to tear up as they remember their lovely pledge. 

With Jiren, the fighter is seen upper-cutting Hit into a ravine. The Saiyains of Universe 6 note their comrade is in trouble, and Caulifla wants to interfere. Cabba says they should stop because Hit has a plan; He is waiting to counter Jiren now that he has learned how the hero’s body works. Jiren blocks Hit’s attack and managed to do a counter when hits the Pride Trooper in the chest. Champa and the others are proud, but Jiren notes he came close to falling off the Tournament arena. However, Hit did leave a wound on his chest that appears to send him into another dimension. 

Part 3

When Jiren returns to the arena, the man realizes he cannot move. Goku wonders if the attack is Hit’s true power. The Saiyans of Universe 6 are surprised Hit can keep the fighter frozen like this. Hit tells the Saiyans to leave and let him handle Jiren; He wants the others to go start their own battles. Cabba leads Kale and Caulifla off. Vados says Hit gave the order to get the guys out of the way since he plans to use his full power to take out Jiren. For the first time, Hit seems to be abandoning his choice to fighter as a solo warrior and work with his teammates. 

Jiren is seen flashing his eyes, and he appears to be breaking free of Hit’s freeze attack. Hit is concerned his power won’t last long enough to take the Pride Trooper out, so the assassin says he will gamble to finish Jiren. He approaches Jiren with an energy blast, but Jiren puts up an energy field with his eyes alone. The Pride Trooper then grabs the attack Hit created and then questions the assassin’s pride. Goku is stunned that Jiren beat Hit’s last-resort attack. Vados comments that Jiren’s power is beyond that of time itself. 

The gods agree Jiren is in a class of his own and that time itself cannot bind the fighter. Jiren and Hit then engage in hand-to-hand combat before the Universe 11 warrior uses his eyes to send out energy blasts. Hit is thrown back by the attack, and Cabba is blown back by the force Jiren used to throw Hit. When the Universe 6 fighter gets up, Jiren sends off a blast that sends Hit flying. He almost throws another but decides his first attack his enough. Jiren is eliminated from the Tournament. Champa is confused but he thanks Hit for doing his best; The god hopes Cabba and the others can take down Jiren. Vados notes that Universe 6 is in a bind. 

On the field, Cabba says he won’t let Hit’s sacrifice be in vain. The Tournament is officially now halfway over, and the Grand Priest does something to change the sky’s color. It turns a sickly green color to mark the new point in time. Universe 11 gathers, and Toppo addresses Jiren. The latter says he will meditate now since the fighters he was needed for have gone now, and he glares at Goku during the speech. Jiren is protected by Toppo and Dyspo as he begins to meditate with a red aura around him. Zeno is in awe of the sight and asks what is happening. Grand Priest says Jiren is tapping out because he knows no one can beat him. 

Goku gets angry. The Saiyan cannot believe Jiren won’t take him seriously. Two other fighters approach Jiren to fight. One gets past but is blast away from an invisible energy shield. Universe 11 says only those who can get past Jiren’s energy wall are worth of fighting the Pride Trooper.
