Hoards of music lovers covet Taylor Swift’s squad whilst other celebrities tote around their own groups of special friends. Social media and pop culture memes have turned friends into all-out squads, and plenty of people have goals when it comes to creating their own.
For anime lovers, their requirements for a squad might be a bit unconventional.
You don’t need to be a model or have a few thousand Instagram followers; Instead, you just need some brightly colored hair and a tsundere side to get a membership. There are dozens of anime squads out there today which any fans would love to join.
As such, ComicBook is going through some of the best and giving fans a look into several top squads out there.
Fairy Tail Guild
If magic is your thing, then you will want to walk your mage goals over to the Fairy Tail guild. The titular group shares a name with Hiro Mashima’s popular shonen title, and fans have come to adore the Fairy Tail guild as a community. The massive group is known as one of Fairy Tail‘s most powerful guilds, and it houses a slew of heroes. Heroes such as Grey and Natsu are two of the group’s most famous mages, and their capital on Dragon Slayers is enough to make any other guild shudder.

Sailor Scouts
In the name of the moon, this squad will punish you. That is, if you try to destroy the universe. Sailor Moon has one of the most intense line-ups of female leads, and the Sailor Scouts are not here to play around. Led by Usagi, the lead scout works alongside other planetary heroines like Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury. The two girls are as tough as they are smart – and they are just the tip of the iceberg. Sailor Venus is the picture of perfection, and Sailor Mars’ fiery personality would make anybody a bit envious.

Z-Fighters
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to fight in an all-out war, then you would be crazy to overlook the Z-Fighters from Dragon Ball. The group of warriors was brought together in Dragon Ball Z when Goku finally realized his true potential as a fighter. The Saiyan left his friends such as Krillin and Tien to protect the Earth from baddies like Freeza whilst he trained in the afterlife. And, when Goku came back, fans learned why the warrior was destined to become the group’s leader. Just one Kamehameha was enough to prove his talent.

Konoha 11
Naruto lovers had no doubt dreamed of joining the Konoha 11 at some point. After all, the ninjas who comprise the group all have different powers and a ninja way which get them through tough battles. Team 7 may be too intense for some squad-seeking fans, but other groups like Team 10 might be perfect for other viewers. However, it would take a rather patient soul to join up with Team Gai…

Straw Hat Pirates
When it comes to the seas, there is no better squad to seek entry to than the Straw Hat Pirates. The ragtag group is overseen by Captain Monkey D. Luffy, the hero of One Piece. The leader is determined to become the next King of the Pirates, and Luffy’s crew have all pledged loyalty to the kid for one reason or another. Even if the group has gone through various rosters, the heart of the Straw Hat Pirates is one of loyalty. The sea-faring family is one which takes care of its own, and they are definitely strong enough to put dangerous Navy members in their place.
