If we’re being honest, plenty of Dragon Ball series first sought out the anime“>anime because they heard about its insane fights. Sure, plenty may have continued on with the franchise because of its humor or close-knit characters, but Dragon Ball thrives off its obscenely intense battle sequences.

With so many Super Saiyans and universally renowned martial artists running about, there are obviously tons of impressive techniques scattered throughout the Dragon Ball universe. Here at ComicBook.com, we are sample a few of the most intense and out-of-this-world attacks introduced in the series, so get ready. We’ve got a few weapons of mass destruction locked and loaded in the following slides; Even Goku would go Super Saiyan before clicking on.

Kamehameha

While it may not be the most powerful move in the Dragon Ball universe, a list of intense techniques would be amiss to overlook the Kamehameha. Also know as the Turtle Destruction Wave, this intense move is categorized by lots of screaming and a very bright beam of light. Not many enemies have been taken out by one of the Super Saiyan’s powerful blasts, but those who have been KO’d by the attack are memorable. Even thinking about Goku and Gohan’s father/son Kamehameha from the Cell Saga is enough to make some fans teary, and that is only one of several defeats tallied under the attack’s name.

Final Flash

During Dragon Ball Z, there were a few points where fans legitimately wondered whether Cell could be stopped. The robotic baddie exuded an intimidating amount of power, and even warriors like Piccolo and Goku struggled against Dr. Gero’s creation. However, Vegeta refused to bow down to the scaled creature, and he used the Final Flash technique to prop himself up. When the princely Saiyan was preparing the attack, both Krillin and Trunks saw that it could destroy the planet – and it did a real good job at taking out half of Cell’s body. These days, Future Trunks has adopted his dad’s move in Dragon Ball Super, and it looks more dangerous than ever. When either of the Saiyans pull this move out, then you know they are getting ready to fight for real.

Tri Beam

Sure, Super Saiyans are strong, but they are not the only talented fighters in the Dragon Ball universe. When it comes to the Z-Fighters, the martial artist Tien is a force to be reckoned with, and his use of the Tri Beam shows why. The move may not be planet-shattering strong, but it is truly gnarly because it literally energizes itself from its user’s life force. Anytime Tien uses this move, he risks dying outright. The warrior has used this move dozens of times, but fans will remember its appearance from Dragon Ball Z best. After all, the fighter did bombard Cell with a flurry of Tri Beams in order to give Android 18 time to escape, and Tien almost gave his life to do so.

Human Extinction Attack

While some fans are say that Dragon Ball Z‘s villains went downhill after Cell, Super Buu challenges that opinion with his repertoire of attacks. The chaotic villain thrived off entropy, and Super Buu was willing to destroy anything and everything that dared to stop him. While fans may have doubted Super Buu’s ability to make good on his threats, the pink baddie did just that when he unleashed the impossibly powerful Human Extinction Attack. The coordinated move sent energy blasts to nearly every human on Earth and wiped out the planet’s population in one swift move.

Spirit Bomb

If you have the patience and a wee bit of power, then congratulations! You are more than capable of creating one of the strongest techniques in Dragon Ball lore. Known as a Spirit Bomb, the attack may not be as flashy as others, but it does have one very important feature: its power is limitless. While it may take some time, users can create a spirit bomb that uses energy from every living being in any given universe, and Goku has relied on the technique more than one. Spirit Bombs do not have the best hit rate, but they are downright destructive when they go as planned. Goku has used the technique to create both a Super and Universal Spirit Bomb, and the two moves are widely regarded as two of the franchises’ most powerful.
