As February comes to an end, spring is set to turn its head for many, and the thought has got folks feeling feverish for the season. However, for anime fans, their excitement over spring’s arrival has nothing to do with flowers and may showers. No, the hype stems from the slew of shows set to debut in the spring. And, now, fans know just when the new Naruto anime series is set to debut.

So, get your calendars out. You’re about have an important date to mark.

In the most recent issue of Weekly Shone Jump, the team behind Boruto: Next Generations told fans the exact date the anime would premiere. The spin-off series will debut on April 5th over on TV Tokyo for Japanese fans. So far, there is no official announcement regarding the anime’s simulcast status, but international fans hope Crunchyroll or Viz nabs the title. A few days before the new Naruto show debuts, Attack on Titan will also make its comeback when season two lands on April 1st.

The announcement also let fans know who would be in-charge of the anime. Noriyuki Abe will act as the Chief Direction while Hiroyuki Yamashita works as the series’ director.

If the latter name sounds familiar to you, then don’t be surprised. The director also worked on Boruto: Next Generations, and fans are excited Yamashita is returning to the franchise. The anime film was well-received amongst fans, so the director’s return is a very welcome one.
