If you are familiar with BTS, then you know the k-pop band has a bit of a thing for Charlie Puth. In the past, members of the rising group have shown their love to the award-winning singer, and it seems like Puth is reaching right back out to BTS.

Over on Twitter, Puth got fans buzzing when he posted a message for BTS. The singer kept it simple and sweet by simply writing, "Yo BTS… DMs!!"

For now, fans can only hope the artists are directly messaging one another about a possible collaboration. After all, BTS has not been shy about their desire to work with the singer-songwriter.

The relationship between Puth and BTS began awhile back all because of one song cover. Jeon Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, did a cover of "We Don't Talk Anymore" which Puth originally recorded with Selena Gomez. The cover went viral on social media, and Puth acknowledge BTS on Twitter not long after it was shared.

"I really like BTS's music," the singer posted. The k-pop group then responded a couple hours later by writing, "We really like Charlie Puth's music."

The connection extended off Twitter when Puth was asked about BTS during a radio interview this year. The singer was asked about his interest in BTS, and Puth said he loved the group's style - and that he also had an apology to make.

"I like BTS. I like Jungkook too," he said. "I just like them. I think they're a fantastic band. I want to meet them in person one day and apologize to Jungkook for mispronouncing his name."

If BTS and Puth do hook up for a collaboration, it will not be the first the k-pop group has done with a western artist. Recently, the band released a remix of their track "MIC Drop" with Steve Aoki and Desiigner. The group has also worked with acts like The Chainsmokers and Wale.
